It kept giving me an error saying I had to many downloads on my device. I removed 5 episodes off the end of my list of The Magicians, and it still wouldnt let me download the 1 episode it skipped on downloading from the previous season. No matter how many I removed for the list, it wouldnt let me add the one. Had to go into settings>apps>Netflix and clear the cache. That fixed the issue.
I believe Netflix is doing the right thing. If people are downloading that many shows, it stands to prove they are not watching them regularly or they would not be staying at the same number of movies, or TV shows. If and when I download, I plan on watching them in the very near future! Keep up the good work Netflix, I appreciate the fact that I am able to download anything at all, and to be able to watch them offline is a huge plus for me! Thank you!
Although I can see why limitations are set, I find it hard to digest you pay for something supposedly allowing access to content to find there are limitations restricting you. Also, I downloaded quite some episodes of Money Heist as I was travelling to a country with doubtfull internet, to find out all files were not accessible. I had to delete all and watch all online. Anyway, room for improvement, I would say.
Very disappointed!!! I dont have internet at home, and i thought downloads would be the solution to watching my favorite shows that are not available on DVD. First i learned that i cant watch the downloads through my smart TV so the whole family huddles in front of the laptop. Second, I downloaded several episodes of one show since i wouldnt by going near a connection for awhile. I didnt get a chance to watch all of them in the 48 hours before they expired, and now i cant download them again for a year! Very worthless service for me. I will definately cancel.
"...part of it also is that I know so much I have so much to share. I have so much to share!" Do you feel this way too?You could talk about your content topic for days, weeks, or even years without skipping a beat. But maybe, you're not 100% sure which idea comes next. Or how many ideas to shove into one piece of content.Today's episode is a continuation of our coaching call series, and I'm chatting with Kay'aleya Hunnybee about the beginning stages of her podcast journey. We're covering how to overcome switching between planning, recording, and editing an episode without feeling overwhelmed. We're also tackling the big questions about show notes and when to start creating them. This episode is juicy for anyone just getting started on their content journey!
So I officially launched last week, which is huge for me. I mean, it's just been it's been like, a vision for a long time. And so to actually do it is it feels complete, it feels kind of unreal. Still. But yeah, I launched it. I shared it on social media. I've gotten, you know, some good feedback. And yeah, I launched four episodes. And then I just I just launched I just got another episode out yesterday. So I'm trying to do the weekly, you know, episodes. That's where I'm at with it. Yeah. And I think you know what feels silly? Well, go ahead.
I think what I really feel I'm confused about I mean, part of it is that I'm probably just new, right? So it just takes time to get into the flow of things. I assume that over time, I'm gonna feel like everything is not so hard and I'm not like walking up a mountain constantly. But what I'm experiencing now is like working on those four episodes and then getting this past one out. I feel like it's taken 80% of my time of my work time in the last couple of weeks or a few weeks. Honestly, you Just to do that, and so I'd love some support around how to manage it. I think part of it also is that I know so much I have so much to share, I have so much to share. And it's so hard for me when I'm sharing, like if I'm like on the podcast, and then I go off on a tangent, and I mean, I can edit those parts out, but then it takes time to edit those parts out. So it's like, wow, I just, I'm like a waterfall. So I'm trying to figure out how to like, hey, myself, well, this is great.
I think that this is a fantastic problem to have. You don't want to call it a problem. It's more of a of a How can I like kind of compartmentalize all of the ideas in a way that feels like it's actually flowing out of you in a productive way? Because I think that a lot of people, especially people in this audience that I have noticed, like, there's no shortage of ideas, like people will tell me I have hundreds of things to talk about. I just don't know which one like, do I start with the best one? Do I start with this one, like the one that people need? Or the one that they're asking for? There's a lot of different ways, and there's no right or wrong answer here. So when the overwhelm, or the rush of all of the ideas kind of hits you, I would sit down. And I mean, my secret to being consistent is planning, it really is like sitting down and saying, Okay, I really want to talk about this one topic, what can I cover. And then if I look at an outline or script, and I say, oh, my gosh, this is gonna be a five hour long episode, if I were to cover all of these things, then I can kind of break it off into pieces and say, You know what, I really just need to talk about this one piece of it. And then the rest of this can go in another podcast episode. Or maybe you kind of see a vision of oh, this could actually be a series, I could create three specific episodes about this one topic. So there's no right or wrong answer here. I think that usually it's I tell people to start with what's it excites them the most. And since you just launched, it's likely that you probably put out like an origin story of why you're excited about your podcast, or you're in the space that you're in. But to continue to keep going. I always tell people to look back at what did you put out? And how did people respond to it? So if you have one episode that has more downloads, and if you have an audience, and you could say what it'll like about this, or, you know, can I get some feedback it but no pressure to do that as well, when you're first getting started? Because you're it's going to that's going to come with time, you'll have more data, more numbers as you keep podcasting. And you'll be able to see which things are really resonating with your audience. Does that help?
Totally. And I think that's, I think what you said probably that's most helpful is just the idea of being able to break down. And it's something that I'm just learning through doing it right. Like I had to have the experience of creating these, like massive episodes that I had to edit out, like, you know, 25% of just to make them into like a reasonable length. But just understanding that about myself, because I've never done this before, right. So it's like it is new. And so yeah, the idea that I could actually make this into like, it could be two episodes, it doesn't have to be one, you know, I like that idea a lot. And I have a teensy tiny, I have a teensy tiny, online audience. I mean, really, most of my work has been one on one, and I have not been trying to get myself online yet. So I'm really very much new to it. I do have a lot of friends who I think have listened to my episodes. I'm not sure who are the listeners, there is one episode that was listen to the most. But I also think that was like the one that was on top last week when I when I launched. So it was like, you know, the fourth episode that was just on top. So I think that might be why it was listened to the most. However, you know, I think it's going to take time, I think I'm going to have to build an audience. And it feels like so much. I know that you were here at some point. I know. You're like now so developed. So at least you understand the experience of having like nobody and I'm not sure who I'm even talking to. Oh,
yes, no, you're saying that like that top one was probably listened to the most. And I just imagine that. I remember when I first launched and I got like, you know, 10 downloads on one episode. And I was like, Oh, I bet six of those were me. Me and then the other four were probably my mom, my mom listening to it and saying yes, that's good. Like, no, you sound fine. Like, I mean, this happens for everybody. And I think that you I love that you have the right mindset about it is it's just gonna take that time of you know, now you've gotten your feet wet like you've launched and I think that that is a huge congratulations worthy moment in and of itself because most people won't even get that far. So I hope that you celebrate it and you're excited about it, but do Just also know that that launch is so much more work, then the repetition and the consistency like that. Imagine if you are like adopting a new like workout, like you're gonna start running that first mile you ever do from having not run it all, like you're gonna die, you're gonna feel like I'm dying, this is not working for me. But then the next time you go out and you're like, Okay, I know how I need to control my breathing, or I need to have better running shoes, or I need to do not go when it's hot. Like, you'll have all these kinds of tools in your toolkit to where now you've ripped off that band aid of putting your content out there, you know, how it works. And so now, it's just that how can I make showing up consistently easier? That's really the struggle that podcasters face after they launch is how can I continue to show up consistent and I actually I have it, you know, here right now, like one of your top goals for 2022 is to actually be consistent. So do you see anything kind of popping up over the next, let's say six months? Do you see something where you're already foreshadowing like, it's going to be a challenge to be consistent? 2ff7e9595c
